LED and UV-Curing Resins

All the general purpose type resins in Boytek product range can be alternatively formulated for curing under UV light. LED curing is defined as curing of a photo-initiator containing resin under a specific wavelength LED light in seconds. Therefore cycle times are greatly reduced and there will be no need to use hazardous peroxides. Since LED curing begins from the surface, styrene emissions for LED curing systems are much lower than standard peroxide curing. This system can be adapted to different production methods such as hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding; however the resins should be neat without any pigments and fillers.
